I ordered 80 yards of pom pom trim forever ago a month ago... in fact, it seemed like it was so long ago, I began to wonder if I had actually ordered them or just dreamed about it. But now they are here and I am excited to get busy in the sewing room.
Lovely cream, pink, and green pom poms. As a mom of two boys I think I am in need of channeling my girlie side... I have never been a pink and green kind of person, but I love these pom poms!
Looking forward to posting new items on Etsy soon:)

Put a cork in it...
While cooking dinner last night I was reminded that simple fixes can be really, really good.
I used to be a victim of hot lids. You know the ones you can't pick up when you're cooking unless you use a hot pad or a dish towel? No longer...
Somewhere, a long time ago, I read this tip and have since adorned every lid to every pan I own. It works amazingly and doesn't cost a penny. Well, you can't really count the champagne, can you? I consider that a bonus!

Lavender Eye Candy...Yum
I kept thinking about lavender after I made my delicious marinated goat cheese, so I thought I would share some lavender favorites from Etsy. I am not endorsing any of the sellers below; I have not ordered from them myself. However, I think their things are lovely, and that is what My Everyday Graces~ lovely things for everyday living, is all about. Enjoy!

Ardent Attachment, Devotion, Success, and Luck...
Such is the language of lavender.
While looking through the latest edition of Hobby Farm Home Magazine, I stopped and thought to myself... Must. Make. This.
Lavender Marinated Goat Cheese
1 c. olive oil
1 1/2 T. herbes de Provence
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 pound cheese, goat or feta
black pepper
Preparation: Combine olive oil, herbes de Provence, garlic and pepper. Pour over cheese; marinate, covered, overnight. Drain.. Serve with crackers of French bread as an appetizer or cut into cubes and serve with salad. Makes 10-12 appetizer servings. (Courtesy of Madeline Wajda, Willow Pond Farm)
I made a quick trip to the grocery and VoilĂ ~

Regretsy: Who knew?
A funny thing happened yesterday. When I looked at my Everyday Graces analytics page I saw a referral from Regresty. Of course, my curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on their link. Pretty humorous stuff, and it seems to be for a good cause, but please pray that my items are never featured there:) Also, be prepared if you go there, some of the items are not for the faint of heart.
Also, remember yesterday when I wrote about the anxiety I was having regarding my pillow order? Yeah, well, I figured out a way to fix that...
I really hope I hear something soon...

Four Legged Friday
I can't believe it is Friday already! I have sent off my order to Nesting in North Carolina and have yet to hear any feedback. I am anxiously awaiting the news of how they are received... I have to tell myself to stop worrying about it. I am going to list a couple of bird and nest pillows on etsy later today, but for now am working on a custom project of pillows and table runners.
It is grey, wet, and cold outside and paired with my anxiety it is making for a dreary day, so I will leave you with this photo of Diego. This was taken when he was a lean, climbing machine. He is now 24 pounds, and I don't think he'll be climbing like this anytime soon.

Four Legged Friday
Yes, I know it is only Thursday, but I have been wanting to share this photo since I took it at Cannon Beach last week.
