Some may call it a moment of crazy, but I told my boys' school that I wanted to volunteer more!
Yep, I walked right into the headmaster's office and said, "I'm all in. I want to tell people what is so great about your school, and I want to help grow it in any way that I'm able... How can I help?" And you know what? Maybe he had a moment of crazy too, because I now have
an official job a volunteer position an official, job-like volunteer position.
So what does this have to do with personal style? Stick with me, I'm getting there...
Among other things, this means that I am on campus in an official sort of way. I have "office" hours and I meet with people... new people, inquiring about the school (and also high school students, but that's another part of my job-like volunteer position that I'll share some other time). I guess you could say that I'm a small piece of
the first impression. And that's a bit of pressure, to be honest.
Part of the pressure stems from the fact that I have been a stay at home mom for 15 years... a jean and sweatshirt wearing mom, with the occasional corduroy pants, button down and sweater thrown in. I'm not a fashionista! I
like fashion, and I'd like to think of myself as fairly stylish when I need to be... I don't wear mom jeans for Pete's sake!

After looking through my clothing inventory, I've concluded that I need a little help, or maybe even a lot of help! Enter Google, "what's my fashion style", and
Real Simple Magazine's little online fashion style quiz.
According to RS this is the outfit for me...
For some reason, I'm just not seein' it!
So, my style quest has begun. And yes, I know that it's what's on the inside that counts, and that fashion is probably considered by some to be a little frivolous, but I think it will be fun to explore what's out there and try to define my style. If you have any tips let me know!
What's your style?
